Torture

The Christian Science Monitor offers a detailed look into Jose Padilla's life behind bars and the issue of torture and mental illness. It's chilling to read the conditioning of torture and the change in his personality it has brought, that is so obvious for those to see. His trial, regardless the outcome, doesn't seem to offer him any hope, because of the federal government's ability to whisk him away and change his legal status at whim. I hope you take time to read this account.
